  • Bettye Patricia (Trecia) Ericson formerly of Girard, Kansas died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Brandon Woods.  Bettye was born September 16, 1927 in Commerce, Oklahoma to Samuel and Mary M. Edwards. She attended and graduated from Shawnee Mission High School, Mission, Ks. She married E. Don Ericson on November 7, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1991.

  • Bettye Patricia (Trecia) Ericson formerly of Girard, Kansas died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Brandon Woods.  Bettye was born September 16, 1927 in Commerce, Oklahoma to Samuel and Mary M. Edwards. She attended and graduated from Shawnee Mission High School, Mission, Ks. She married E. Don Ericson on November 7, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1991.

    Mrs. Ericson was a licensed Kansas Real Estate Broker and office manager for offices owned and operated by her and her husband in Neosho, Crawford and Bourbon counties for over 25 years. She and her husband also owned and operated cattle ranches in this area for many years. She moved to Lawrence, Ks. to be near her daughter. 

    She received her GRI designation from Wichita State University. She was president of Girard, Kansas BPW; Realtor of the Year, Pittsburg, Kansas, and a member of the National and Kansas Association of Realtors for over 20 years. She was previously a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pittsburg, KS, sang in the choir and was on the church council. Upon moving to Lawrence she became a member of Trinity Lutheran church and later Good Shepherd Lutheran church. She assisted in teaching adult bible study classes.

    For several years she was an associate broker for Acres Realtors of Lawrence, Ks. 

    She loved music and played both the organ and the piano. She was especially fond of her daughter’s Jack Russell Terrier.

    She is survived by her daughter, Sammie Jo Conder and husband Les Conder, Lawrence, one grandson, Jeremy Ragonese and wife Daria , one great granddaughter, Isabella of Kansas City, Mo. 

    No services are planned and private inurnment will be held at a later date at Friends Home Lutheran Cemetery in Savonburg, Kansas.
