The Pittsburg Family YMCA football program will begin practice the week of August 24th. Sign ups are now being held and all participants should be signed up by August 21st. The program is divided into flag and tackle. Flag has two leagues, one is for 1st and 2nd grades, and one is for 3rd and 4th grades. Tackle is for grades four, five, and six. Fourth and fifth graders will play in a league together, and sixth graders will play in a separate league. Some fifth grades may be moved up to the sixth grade league. Fourth graders will play flag or tackle. All teams have a maximum number of participants, so sign up early. Volunteer coaches are needed.

On August 24, at 5:30 p.m., a meeting will be held for 4th and 5th grade tackle players to evaluate players and divide the teams on an equal basis. On August 25, at 5:30 p.m., a similar meeting will be held for the 6th grade program. Games will start on September 12th.
