    Sunflower Kiwanis


    Sunflower Kiwanis Club will meet for breakfast at 6:45 a.m. in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. The group will receive the Kiwanis Defining Statement, then have a short business session.

    Sunflower Kiwanis
    Sunflower Kiwanis Club will meet for breakfast at 6:45 a.m. in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. The group will receive the Kiwanis Defining Statement, then have a short business session.
    Elwyn Davis, club member, will give the program on “How to Draw a straight Line for Quilts and Wallpaper.”
    Veterans representative
    A veterans representative will be at the Homer Cole Community Center from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
    Anyone having any questions or concerns about veterans affairs may stop by. Those needing additional information may call the center at 231-9773.
    Cross stitch class
    ARMA — A cross stitch class will be held at 1 p.m. at the Arma City Library. Kits are available at the library.
    Library board
    ARMA — Arma City Library board will meet at 5:45 p.m. Guest speaker will be Kim Rutter from the Southeast Kansas Library System.
    Lions board
    Pittsburg Lions Club board will meet at 6 p.m. in the Sheridan Room, Via Christi Hospital. Bill Gray, president, will preside.
    Senior dance
    A senior dance will be held from 7  to 9:30 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center. Area musicians provide music for dancing and listening.
    There is a $1 cost to attend, and those attending are asked to bring a finger food. The center will provide punch and coffee. Anyone needing additional information may call the center at 231-9773.
    TOPS KS 1120
    TOPS KS 1120 Pittsburg will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room at 2608 N. Walnut. Weigh-in will begin at 5:15 p.m.
    Mission of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is to support members as they take off and keep off pounds sensibly. The organization offers an Exchange program with no special foods to buy and weekly private weigh-in. Annual membership is $28 for adults 18 and older. Children aged 7 to 17 and spouses of members may join at half price. The first visit is free. Anyone needing additional information may call 620-235-1790.
    Elks bingo
    Pittsburg Elks Lodge will host bingo night, open to the public. Mini games start at 6 p.m., followed by regular games at 6:30 p.m.
    There will be two progressive games. Blackout is 60 numbers or less for $300. Also available are pull tabs, with winners able to get up to $250.
    Concessions will be available for the public.
    ARMA TOPS
    ARMA — The ARMA TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays.
    Chapter meetings include private weigh-in, information on good nutrition, educational programs and moral support and encouragement to help members reach their weight loss goals.

    ARMA — Arma American Legion will have bingo night, starting with early bird games at 6:30 p.m. Regular games will follow immediately after the early bird games.
