Weir Senior Center
A new year is here an a good way to start the year is good food and fellowship at the Weir Senior Center. We will have ham and beans with corn bread. Angel Health will perform blood pressure and blood glucose test prior to meeting/luncheon at 11:30. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. As always our neighbors and their guests 50 and older are welcome. The Weir Senior Center is at 108 North Lincoln Street. Anyone with questions should call Judy at 620-396-8944.
Liberal Ladies who Lunch
Liberal Ladies Who Lunch will meet at noon, at 706 West 2nd. Soup will be provided. Bring any topics you wish to discuss. Any woman interested in progressive issues is welcome to attend.
The Chicopee Card Games will meet from 12:30-3:30 p.m. at the Chicopee community center.
Elk's Lodge Bingo
Bingo will be held at the Elk's Lodge, 2312 W. 4th in Pittsburg, starting at 6:15 with mini games. It will be followed by regular games at 6:30. Super progressive and blackout progressive will be played and Bingo event tickets and pull tabs also are available.

The Juvenile Corrections Advisory Board will meet 11:30 a.m. at the Restorative Justice Authority conference room at 665 S. 69 Highway, Pittsburg. Public comments are limited to time available and anyone willing to make a public comment shall submit their comments in writing to the RJA office 48 hours prior to the meeting.
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 0884 meetings are held each Thursday at Knights of Columbus Towers, 700 N. Pine. Private weigh-ins begin at 9 a.m. Business meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. Each week, a program is presented for support and motivation for members to reach and maintain their weight-loss goals. Frontenac American Legion conducts bingo games every Thursday evening at the Frontenac Senior Citizen Center located at 113 N. Crawford in Frontenac. Cards go on sale at 5:30 p.m. and play begins at 6:30 p.m.

The Pittsburg Noon Kiwanis meets every Thursday at noon in the dePaul Hall at Via Christi Hospital.
Community Reading Night
Each month on the first Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m., Wesley House located at 411 12th Street in Pittsburg will host a community leader reading children’s books aloud following a community dinner. Afterwards, each child will get to pick a brand new book of their own to take home.
Pittsburg Coin Club
The Pittsburg Coin Club meets at 7:30 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at the Pittsburg Elk’s Lodge. Meetings are open to the public and membership fees are $6 for adults or $3 for children ages 18 or under.
