All Faith Church will have a fish fry 5 p.m. at 307 N. Military in Mulberry. There will be country gospel music starting at 6 p.m.

Miner Hall Museum

The museum will have a special program on small engines presented by the Girard FFA. Call 620-347-4220 for reservations for this special program. Our doors open at 1:30 p.m. and program begins at 2:00 p.m. Free to the public, donations accepted.

 

Italian Heritage

The group will meet Sunday at 5:00 p.m. in Chicopee for the Red White and Blue dinner so dress in those colors and bring a side dish to go with hot dogs. For information call Ron Marrone 232-4442.

 

Legion dance

The Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host Sunday Dance at the Pittsburg American Legion, 2115 N Joplin. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the dance is from 2-5 p.m.

Zone 6 Gardeners of Pittsburg

The group will first tour the garden of John and Bea Martel, 2307 S. Homer at 6:30. Then we will travel to the garden of Karen Bowen, 996 S. 260th St, refreshments and meeting to follow. Please bring a chair, bring a friend, all are welcome.

 

Co-Dependents Anonymous

Private weigh-ins are from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and are designed to provide motivation and support to help members reach their weight loss goals. Visitors are always welcome. TOPS 0975

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 0975, Girard, meets every Monday at 406 W. Antelope St. in Girard, KS. Private weigh-in will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 5:45 p.m. Meetings begin at 6 p.m. A support and motivational program is presented each week to encourage members to reach and maintain weight loss goals. Yoga Class

A yoga class will be conducted every Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center located at 3003 N. Joplin St with a licensed yoga teacher. The class will offer flow style yoga, which is appropriate for all levels, including beginners. Bring your beautiful self, dressed in comfortable clothes, water and a yoga mat (a few extras will be on hand). The price is donation based, but $7 is recommended.

 

NAMI Southeast Kansas

The NAMI family support group and a NAMI connections group meet on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Pittsburg Presbyterian Church, 520 N. Pine.

 

American Legion Post 64

Pittsburg American Legion Post #64 will hold their meeting every third Monday of each month at 7pm. All members are encouraged to attend.

 

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas, the first Medicare Benefits Enrollment Center in Kansas, will have Benefits Enrollment Counselors available at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 S. Cherokee in Frontenac every second Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to answer questions, review your situation and help determine what other programs for which you may qualify. There is absolutely no cost for the service as the expense is covered by the National Council on Aging. Call the Benefits Enrollment Center at 620-240-5601 to set up an appointment or for more information.

Banquet

The Kansas State University Alumni and Catbackers Banquet will be at Lamplighter Inn in Pittsburg. Cost is $20 per adult and $10 for under 18. High School seniors are free. Bill Snyder is the featured speaker. Reservations can be made at k-state.com/sekansasgolfbanquet16.

 

Bingo

Arma American Legion Bingo Post #182 will have bingo open to the public. Doors open at 5 p.m. and games begin at 6:30 p.m. This week’s blackout will pay $525 for 59 numbers. If no one wins, $25 will go to next week’s pot. Also, the high roller blackout will pay $611.

 

Pittsburg Lions Club

The Pittsburg Lions Club will meet at 6 p.m. in the Sheridan Room, Via Christi Hospital. There will be an installation of club officers for the coming year.
