Advance voting both in person and by mail opened October 19.
Advance voting offers an option to citizens who cannot make it to a polling place on November 8. Citizens can mark their ballots early in the county clerk’s office in Girard until noon November 7. Advance voting by mail will continue through election day.
A request for an advance ballot by mail must be submitted to the Crawford County Clerk’s office by November 4. The county clerk’s office can be contacted by phone at 620-724-6115 or by email at email@example.com. Advance voting ballot request forms can also be found on the Crawford County Clerk website, www.crawfordcountykansas.org under the Elections Department, and at www.voteks.org.
In person advance voting will take place at Meadowbrook Mall and the Homer Cole Center from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.October 26 through 29. These locations will be open noon to 5 p.m. October 30.
A representative of the Crawford County Health Dept. will be at the Homer Cole Voting Center from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. to administer flu vaccinations to anyone that is interested, not just voters.
The Crawford County Health Department will administer flu vaccinations to anyone that is interested from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. October 27 at the Homer Cole Center. Voting is not required to receive a flu shot.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the general election November 8. All advance ballots by mail must be to the courthouse by 7 p.m. that day.
All voters will need photo identification at the polls.
