1. Jr. Starz Performance

The Jr. Starz Workshop through Pittsburg Community Theatre will have two performances of the new musical “Press Start” Friday. Shows will begin at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. For the past two weeks, young thespians ages six to 12 have practiced daily for the performance.

2. 5k Color Walk

Pittsburg Church of God is hosting its first 5k Color Walk to raise funds for at-risk women and abused children on the streets of Cota, Colombia. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the west pavilion in Lincoln Park. The 5k walk will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a hotdog cookout and celebration.

3. Farmers Market

The Pittsburg Area Farmers Market is open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. The market features many local vendors from around the area selling goods and fresh produce.

4. Tractors at CCHM

The Southeast Kansas Old Time Gas Engine and Tractor Club is hosting their annual show Friday and Saturday at the Crawford County Historical Museum. The 29th annual show opens at 5:30 p.m. Friday with several events. The show reopens Saturday at 10 a.m.

5. Tractor Supply Opening

Tractor Supply in Pittsburg kicked off its four-day opening celebration Thursday, and events last through Sunday. The main event takes place Saturday, when visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy special events, including pet adoptions through the GypsySoul Rottweiler Rescue and SEK Humane Society, a petting zoo with animals from Two Girls and a Zoo, a bake sale, product demonstrations and more. Additionally, the store will give away gift cards and Tractor Supply hats while supplies last. Tractor Supply is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Saturday. Sunday hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
