TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 0884 meetings are held each Thursday at Knights of Columbus Towers, 700 N. Pine. Private weigh-ins begin at 9 a.m. Business meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. Each week, a program is presented for support and motivation for members to reach and maintain their weight-loss goals. Frontenac American Legion Bingo
Frontenac American Legion conducts bingo games every Thursday evening at the Frontenac Senior Citizen Center located at 113 N. Crawford in Frontenac. Cards go on sale at 5:30 p.m. and play begins at 6:30 p.m.

The Pittsburg Noon Kiwanis meets every Thursday at noon in the dePaul Hall at Via Christi Hospital.

SEK Retired School Personnel
The Miners Hall Museum will share information on their programs at the meeting of the Southeast Kansas Retired School Personnel at the Homer Cole Center in Pittsburg. Hosts will be Betty Hight, Phyllis Roberds and Laura Carlson. Social time with refreshments will begin at 9:15 a.m. with the meeting starting at 9:30 a.m. Plans to attend the Cherokee County Retired School Personnel luncheon meeting on October 18 in Cherokee will be finalized.
Pittsburg American Legion Bingo
The Pittsburg American Legion will host bingo every Friday at the legion home. Doors open at 5 p.m. Early bird games are at 6:20 p.m. and regular bingo is at 6:30 p.m.

The VFW Ladies Auxiliary will have their regular meeting on the second Saturday of every month at 9:30 a.m. at the post home.

Miners Hall Museum
Miners Hall Museum will have a special program, “Irish Music and Stories” at 2 p.m. The program is part of the museum’s quarterly exhibit focusing on Irish history in southeast Kansas. The program is free to the public. Refreshments will be available.
Legion dance
The Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host Sunday Dance at the Pittsburg American Legion, 2115 N Joplin. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the dance is from 2-5 p.m.
