The Crawford County Democrats will meet at 3 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library. All interested Democrats are encouraged to attend. Goals for 2018 will be discussed.



Legion dance

The Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host Sunday Dance at the Pittsburg American Legion, 2115 N Joplin. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the dance is from 2-5 p.m.

Treble Clef Club

Treble Clef Club of Pittsburg will meet at Via Christi Village Chapel at 1 p.m. Program of choral music will be presented by several members. Refreshments to follow.


NAMI Southeast Kansas

The NAMI family support group and a NAMI connections group meet on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Pittsburg Presbyterian Church, 520 N. Pine.


Co-Dependents Anonymous

Co-Dependents Anonymous is a 12 step fellowship of men and women whose common purpose is recovery from codependence and the development and maintenance of healthy relationships. CoDA meets at noon at St. Peter’s Episcopal, 306 W. Euclid. For further information call 620-231-0499.

TOPS 0599 (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at St. Mary's Grade School located at 301 E. 9th. Private weigh-ins are from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and are designed to provide motivation and support to help members reach their weight loss goals. Visitors are always welcome. TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 0975, Girard, meets every Monday at 511 N. Western in Girard, KS. Private weigh-in will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 5:45 p.m. Meetings begin at 6 p.m. A support and motivational program is presented each week to encourage members to reach and maintain weight loss goals. PEO Chapter AQ

PEO Chapter AQ will hold their first meeting for the new year at the home of Linda Niederklein at noon. Co-hostesses are Amy Hite, Cheryle Moore, Kim Scripsick and Patti Thomas. The program "Know Your Core Why" will be presented by Karen Endicott. A project report on the AQ scholarship will be presented by Kathleen Sandness.


PEO Chapter CP

PEO Chapter CP will have a brunch beginning at 10 a.m. at the home of Bev Snodgrass, 1304 S. Catalpa. Co-hostesses are Mary Lewark and Chris Ward. Annie Cortes will present the program KSU’s Ahearn Institute.


PEO Chapter IO

PEO Chapter IO will meet at 1 p.m. at the student center on the PSU campus. Hostesses will be Kristina Taylor and Nikke Foster. The program “On the Job,” will be presented by Kristina Taylor

The Arma American Legion will have bingo open to the public every Tuesday starting at 6:30 p.m. This week progressive blackout will pay $325 for 51 numbers. High roller progressive bingo will pay $1,185 for 55 numbers.
