1. Founders Solo and Chamber Music Series

Founders is a songwriting collective that merges classical and folk music with original compositions and pop arrangements. The group will perform 7:30 p.m. Friday at McCray Hall on the Pittsburg State University campus. The five-member group will perform as part of PSU’s continuing Solo and Chamber Music Series. Tickets are $8-12.

2. PSU Track and Field Invitational

The Pittsburg State University Track and Field Invitational will take place all day Saturday at the Robert W. Plaster Center on the PSU campus. Track and field athletes from across the nation will compete at the event.

3. Albers Marine Outdoor Show

Albers Marine is hosting its 12th annual outdoor show at Memorial Auditorium Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free, and attendees can see new boats, ATVs and more, as well as meet 19-year professional angler Brian Snowden. A children’s casting contest will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Snowden will present a fishing seminar at 2 p.m. Sunday.

4. Logan Mize at Kansas Crossing

Country music singer and Kansas native Logan Mize will take the stage at The Corral inside the Kansas Crossing Casino at 8 p.m. Saturday. As child, Mize wouldn’t sing in front of people, but a Kenny Chesney concert in Wichita changed all that. Since then he as acquired Justin Timberlake as a fan, shooting a commercial with Hayden Panettiere and being named a tourism ambassador by the governor. Tickets are $10 each. Must be 21 or older to attend.

5. Kaos Theory at Kansas Crossing

Springfield-based Kaos Theory will play a free show Friday at the Bronco Bar inside Kansas Crossing Casino. The band takes music seriously with songs of heartbreak and upheaval. The show begins at 8 p.m. Must be 21 or older to attend.
