Legion dance

The Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host Sunday Dance at the Pittsburg American Legion, 2115 N Joplin. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the dance is from 2-5 p.m.

Private weigh-ins are from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and are designed to provide motivation and support to help members reach their weight loss goals. Visitors are always welcome. TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 0975, Girard, meets every Monday at 511 N. Western in Girard, KS. Private weigh-in will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 5:45 p.m. Meetings begin at 6 p.m. A support and motivational program is presented each week to encourage members to reach and maintain weight loss goals. NAMI Southeast Kansas

The NAMI family support group and a NAMI connections group meet on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Pittsburg Presbyterian Church, 520 N. Pine.


American Legion Post 64

Pittsburg American Legion Post #64 will hold their meeting every third Monday of each month at 7pm. All members are encouraged to attend.

PEO Chapter AQ

PEO Chapter AQ will meet at the home of Karen Endicott at noon. Co-hostesses are Heidi Misasi, Marty Beezley, Elaine Lingor and Linda Walker. The program will be piano music provided by Elaine Lingor. There will be a project report on the Educational Loan fund given by Amy Hite. There will be a reading of the President's Letter. Please bring treats for the KS Suite girls at Cottey College.


PEO Chapter IO

PEO Chaper IO will meet at 1 p.m. at 197 S. 230th St. Hostesses will be Pat Baker and Dorothy Richardson. Program will consist of celebrating our founders.


PEO Chapter CP

PEO Chapter CP will meet at 10 a.m. at Crestwood Country Club, hosted by Joan Farrell, Hazel Coltharp and Pam Phalen. Members are asked to bring packages of underwear for the captain underpants project at the elementary school. Please let hostesses know if you cannot attend.


PEO Chapter CJ

P.E.O. Chapter CJ will meet at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the 4th Street Fire Station meeting room located at 911 W 4th Street. Following the meeting, there will be a tour of the facilities. April McKemy will serve as hostess.


Veterans Representative

The Homer Cole Community Center will host a veterans representative between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Anyone with issues or questions concerning veterans affairs is welcome.


Pancake Supper

Zion Lutheran Church is hosting a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The dinner is free will donation and proceeds will go to support local broadcast of The Lutheran Hour. The supper will be at the Zion Lutheran Church Activity Center.


Silent Art Auction

Kappa Pi International Art Society is hosting a Valentine’s Day Silent Art Auction from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the student gallery in Porter Hall on the Pittsburg State University campus.
