PITTSBURG — A student in Pittsburg State University’s social work program is collecting clothes and hygiene products for the Addiction Treatment Center in Girard for people entering treatment without personal items to meet their basic needs. Many people who enter treatment are taking the first step to change their lives and may need a hand in doing so, PSU student Morgan Hensley said in a release. A donation box will be located at the All Aboard Foundation in Pittsburg starting Oct. 21 through Dec. 1.

According to Hensley, items which are needed are clothes and personal hygiene items such as razors, body wash, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. They are in need of both mens and women's clothing, socks, and coats. With these items, their basic needs will be met, and they will be able to focus on their recovery, Hensley said in the release.
