FRONTENAC — Frontenac Will Jameson captured second place at the KSHSAA 4A State Wrestling Tournament in the 152 lb division on Saturday.

Jameson finished the competition 3-1, after defeating Dakota Whitaker, Chance Price and Sam Elliot on day one.

Girard’s Durbie McReynolds captured fourth place. Raider Dawson Lapping captured a sixth place finish.

Frontenac’s Storm Niegsch, Justice Compton and Kaleb Kroenke also moved on to day two in the consolation tournament.

Girard’s Bryer Glaser claimed an opening round victory, before being defeated in the quarters.

Drew Bollinger and Dylan Ensch were defeated in the second round.

Pittsburg’s Gabe Beaman, Matt Smith Jesse Stover and JJ White were defeated in the first round of the consolation bracket in the Class 5A tournament. Corbin Mcintier was defeated in the opening round, but captured a victory in the opening consolation round before being defeated in round two.

Pittsburg’s Zane Decker captured an injury default victory over Dylan Ward before falling in round two.
