Fort Scott’s Hannah Vann shot up the wrestling ranks her senior year, at one point holding the top-spot in the state in the 143 pound weight class in her final season for the Tigers.

After needing heart surgery just days after birth and requiring a tracheotomy at three months old, Vann has overcome many obstacles on her way to becoming a major part of the Fort Scott Wrestling team.

Vann, who was also a member of the Tiger track team, was a Kansas State Wrestling qualifier, and has offers on the table to continue her wrestling career at the next level.

With the cancellation of the remaining fall sports schedule, as well as the spring sports season, the Morning Sun would like to shine a light on the senior athletes across our region.
