I don't wonder how the unemployment office can run their claims with outdated equipment and new employees not trained properly? In recent experiences, people who have paid taxes, when collecting unemployment are now getting notice, from 3 years ago saying the tax is due — again?

State is taking tax out of refund checks, even after copies of papers were sent, twice, without researching the problem. The state refuses to give the money back, for overpayment, it's just YOUR tough luck! Is this HOW the state gets it's revenue? In that case who would want to live here?

Fighting the system seems to be a daily problem, and YOU have to PROVE to them you are right. That's means getting an attorney, and either way, you lose. The electronic age sure has done something for us, but I'm not sure I needed any more stress, headache and high blood pressure.
