ST. CHARLES, MO — The Pittsburg State Football team pushed their winning streak to five games on the season after a 27-24 overtime win over Lindenwood University on Saturday.
Quarterback John Roderique threw the game-tying pass to Brenner Clemons with 2:05 seconds remaining in the fourth, and Jared Vincent won the game on a 27-yard kick in OT.
Roderique was six of 17 on the day for 53 yards. B.J. Bradbury also got snaps under center, going seven for 14 with a touchdown and two interceptions. Bradbury was more efficient in the run game, rushing for 105 yards and a touchdown.
Bradbury found Lorenzo West for a 33-yard touchdown strike in the first half.
In overtime, LWU’s 46-yard field goal fail short, which gave Vincent the opportunity to win the game for the Gorillas.
Pitt State(5-0) gained 423 total yards in the game, but big plays from the Lions, including to 80-plus yard scores from Drew Seers and Nash Sutherlin, gave LWU the lead early in the game.
