PITTSBURG, Kan. — In its ongoing efforts to encouraging creativity within the community, the Pittsburg Arts Council (PAC) will be hosting the Art Supply Swap and Shop today from 9 a.m. to noon in the Evergy courtyard in Block 22.
This event will allow other artists to buy art supplies people aren’t using at a more affordable price or swap items with another artist. Pittsburg patrons are invited to come peruse a plethora of supply options at different booths
“As many of the council members are artists in different mediums, we know supplies can be costly, and at times artists purchase items for a specific project and don’t end up using it all,” the Pittsburg Arts Council said in a press release. “Rather than letting extra supplies take up space or waste away in people’s homes, PAC has encouraged many artists to sell their spare supplies at the Art Supply Swap and Shop.”
For those who have extra supplies, but don’t want to hassle with selling them at the event, PAC is accepting donations to sell at a table as well. All the money made at the PAC booth will go towards future creative endeavors and events.
