Carrol J. Stow, 78, of Scammon, died Nov. 27, 2022, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
She was born Oct. 24, 1944, in Lowell, Kansas, the daughter of Warren E. and Viola Hartshorn Tripp. She had been a resident of Scammon for 48 years.
She married Bill R. Stow on Aug. 1, 1970, in Carthage, Missouri. He survives at the home in Scammon.
Mrs. Stow was a homemaker and mother to her children.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one daughter, Julie Reams of Frontenac; four sons Randy Ashmore of Lawton, Oklahoma, Jim Ashmore of Udall, Kansas, Mike Ashmore of Indiana, and Jeff Stow of Columbus, Kansas; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Margaret Joan, Lillian Maxine, and Peggy Joyce Adams, and brothers Robert Edward Tripp and Warren E. Tripp Jr.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at the Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir, Kansas, with Rev. Duane Elmore officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Stow, Jim Ashmore, Mike Ashmore, Cody Whetzell, Brad Reams, and Jeff Clark.
