Cynthia J. Forkner, 65, of Joplin, passed away following a brief illness at 9:24 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.
Cynthia was born on June 22, 1957, in Columbus, Kansas, where she spent most of her life. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1975.
She deeply enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed discovering new treasures at garage sales and thrift stores, especially anything cow-related for her beloved "cow collection."
Survivors include her two children, Jeremy Forkner and Joleen Roney; her mother, Marilyn Morris; her four siblings, James Morris, Gail Herrington, Pam Smith, and Bev Burton; and seven grandchildren.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her father, James Morris.
Cynthia will be buried at Park Cemetery in Columbus, Kansas, with no services held. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
