David Lee Lacy, 88, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, died Oct. 24, 2022, at the John Knox Care Center in Lee's Summit.
He was born Oct. 9, 1934, in Pittsburg, the son of Carl and Anne (Mraz) Lacy.
He attended and graduated from Frontenac schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Following his enlistment, he came back home and attended the Kansas State Teachers College, where he graduated with a degree in accounting.
In February of 1954, he was united in marriage to Shirley Flaker in Pittsburg.
David was an accountant for Western Electric for many years.
Survivors include his wife Shirley of Lee's Summit; a son, Steve (Erin) Lacy of Forsyth, Missouri; two daughters, Kathy (Gary) Brock of Littleton, Colorado, and Lori Lacy of Greenwood, Missouri; a step-sister, Rebecca "Becky" Martino of Webb City; along with eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
