Deborah "Debbie" Louise Pierce

Deborah "Debbie" Louise Pierce, loving mom, grandma, great grandma, and sister, passed away on May 28, 2023, peacefully at her home in Pittsburg, KS.

Debbie was born on September 15, 1950, to Joseph Nicholas Jacquinet and Augusta May (Mill) Jacquinet in Pittsburg, KS. She grew up in the Cherokee-Weir area graduating from USD 257 schools in 1968. She married William Leon Pierce in 1969. He later preceded her in death February 2000.

Early on, she earned her associate's degree in bookkeeping. She worked for Superior Industries for several years as a quality control technician until the company closed. She went on to receive her medical billing and coding degree from WTI in Joplin. Her greatest achievement was her children and grandchildren. Anyone she met knew her children and grandchildren without ever physically meeting them.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer Pierce, Jacquelyne Pierce, and Andy Pierce all of Pittsburg, KS; grandchildren Allie O'Malley, Veronica Catey, Dallas Valdez, Zachory Kunkler, Logan Kunkler, Shaleigh Kunkler and Paisley Hollingshead; sister, Rose Buset of Pittsburg, KS; brother, Jerry Jacquinet of McCune, KS; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Joseph Jacquinet; sisters, Patsy Jacquinet and Connie Tierney; and nephew, Charles Buset.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg. The family will receive friends at 1 pm prior to the service at Bath-Naylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. These may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762.

Debbie will be remembered for her strong, loving, generous spirit. Anyone who met her adored her.
