Former physical therapist arrested

PITTSBURG, Kan. — A former physical therapist, Alex J. Kuhlman, of Pittsburg, was arrested Jan. 7. Kuhlman is being charged with three misdemeanors and a felony.  

According to court documents, Kuhlman allegedly maintained an office for “the practice of healing arts” while his license was revoked or suspended. The felony offense allegedly occurred between June 6 and July 25, 2024.  

Kuhlman also allegedly represented himself as a physical therapist while his license was revoked or suspended. The first misdemeanor offense allegedly occurred June 6 and June 11, 2024. The second offense allegedly occurred between June 6 and June 18, 2024. The third offense allegedly occurred between June 27 and July 24, 2024.  

All offenses happened in Crawford County. Kuhlman was arrested at 3:57 p.m. Jan. 7 and was released later that evening. His bond was set at $10,000. Status of the case is currently pending.
