Joetta Fay Gardner, 90, of Pittsburg, died Nov. 12, 2022, at her home.
She was born Sept. 30, 1932, in Humboldt, Kansas, the daughter of Namon Lonzo and Nola Lenore (Scantlin) Lathrom.
She was a high school graduate of Iola High School in Iola, Kansas, class of 1950.
On Jan. 30, 1955, she was united in marriage to William (Bill) Eugene Gardner in Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2009.
Joetta was of the Presbyterian faith and served as a Deacon at the Presbyterian Church in Pittsburg and as an election clerk for many years.
She worked as a secretary for 30 years for the Pittsburg School district #250. She retired in 1995.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Gardner, and his wife, Donna of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Steven Gardner of Pittsburg; half-brother, Wayne Lathrom of Irrigon, Oregon; three grandchildren, Joshua Gardner and wife Jeri of Overland Park, Kansas, Hayden Gardner of Kansas City, Missouri, and Addison Gardner of Pittsburg; and two great-grandchildren; Dawson and Emma Sue Gardner.
Joetta was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Lisa Jean Gardner; sister, June Ring; two brothers, Dwight and Gail Lathrom; and half-brother, Namon Leonard Lathrom.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Pittsburg.
Family will receive friends at 10 a.m. prior to the service on Friday at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home.
