Kathleen Ann Spicer-Owsley

Kathleen Ann Spicer-Owsley, 76, of Pittsburg, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at her home. 

She was born Nov. 11, 1945, in Pittsburg, the daughter of Ralph R. and Zella Lorene (Jackson) Spicer. 

Mrs. Owsley was a teacher. She was also an associate minister at the First United Methodist Church of Pittsburg. 

In addition to her husband, Stuart Owsley of the home, she is survived by two step-sons, Todd Owsley of Seattle, Washington, and Tyler Owsley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a step-daughter, Amber Owsley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a sister, Karen Finch of Blacksburg, Virginia; two brothers, Larry and his wife Gay Adams of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Johnnie Ray Adams and his wife Myra of Beachwood, New Jersey; a cousin, Barbra Jackson Egbert and her husband Vernon of McCune, Kansas. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Curtis Finch. 

An informal celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m., Friday May 13, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. A visitation will follow the celebration of life. Burial will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be given to First United Methodist Church or Pittsburg State University Drama Department Scholarship Fund.
