Margaret "Maggie" (Bonine) Bradford

Posted

On March 2, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas, the Lord took the hand and guided Margaret "Maggie" (Bonine) Bradford, 90, to her heavenly home. She passed peacefully at 9:34 p.m. after taking her last breath and then saying "AMEN" to the chaplain's prayer, asking God to receive her with loving arms into His Heavenly Kingdom. There, she was reunited with her parents, Clifford and Ida Bonine, along with her daughters, Rosan and Rosene, and many other family members and friends.

She was born on March 22, 1934, and lived in many places throughout Southeast Kansas during her life. She was a resident at Highland Meadows in Pittsburg, where she became family to the community there. Her last few years were spent with the gracious hosts of Vintage Park in Osage City, Kansas. She filled her days with laughter, activities, and many naps.

Margaret loved animals, especially birds, as well as puzzles, family, the card game Touring, and, of course, good friends. It was said that she taught Cupid what love was—she loved so many people. She was known for her warm hugs, which people never forgot. Margaret was always happy, giggling, and laughing.

She is survived by her sisters, Olive and Beatrice; her daughter, Roselita; and her sons, Roman, Ronnie, and Gordon. Her grandchildren include Jason, Jeremy, Christopher, Carmen, Tim, Megan, Ryan, and Cristal, along with Gordon's two sons. She also had great-grandchildren and even some great-great-grandchildren. Margaret cherished all of her family, including her many nieces and nephews.

The service for Mrs. Margaret Bradford will be held on Saturday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at Highland Park Cemetery.
