ARMA, Kan. — Fourth through 12th graders at Northeast School District got a taste of adulthood as they participated in a mock election Tuesday.
In the two weeks leading up to Election Day, students learned about the electoral college, political parties and the voting process. They learned from a Scholastic 30-page workbook that gave neutral information about elections. Then, each participant filled out a real Kansas voter registration paper form and were given a mock voter card.
