Sofia Ann Kukovich, a cherished individual known for her kind, loving, caring and humorous personality, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 11, 2024. Born on Nov. 10, 1935, Sofia lived a life filled with tremendous passion towards anyone she ever met.
Sofia was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Maggie (Ekis) Kukovich of Gross, Kansas, as well as two brothers Kenneth Kukovich, of Pittsburg, Kansas and Earl Kukovich also of Pittsburg, Kansas.
Sofia is survived by her brother, Charlie Kukovich, Jr. of the home; along with several nieces and nephews; Troy and Karen (Case) Kukovich of Frontenac, Kansas; Travis Kukovich, of Efland, North Carolina; Maggie (Kukovich) and Jacob Alexander of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Heather (Noe) and Marshall Webb of Stromsburg, Nebraska; Coty and Tatiana (Jaimes) Noe of Henderson, Nebraska. She is also survived by multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whose lives were greatly enriched by her presence.
Sofia loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart and she loved God’s Word. Sofia was a powerful prayer warrior and only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of praying have had on her family and friends. She was a member of the Open Door Mission Church of Arcadia, Kansas.
Anyone who knew Sofia knew how much she loved the Lord. Her deepest passion was to share the heart of God with others so they could embrace their identity in Christ and learn to walk in the calling and purpose God had for their lives. Sofia will forever be missed.
