Terry Anselmi

Terry L. Anselmi, 82, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at his home.

Born on Feb. 15, 1943, in Arma, Kansas, Terry was the son of Edward and Margaret Anselmi. He graduated from Arma High School before earning his associate's degree from Pittsburg State University. On Dec. 28, 1963, he married Jenelle J. Ford in Frontenac, Kansas. They shared many wonderful years together before her passing on Jan. 21, 2023.

Terry dedicated much of his career to A.P. Green in Mexico, where he worked as a draftsman until his retirement. Additionally, Terry made a lasting impact in the community through his role at the local radio station, where he served as the sports director and was affectionately known as the “Voice of the Bulldogs.” He also hosted a fishing show, showcasing his passion for the outdoors.

Active in his community, Terry was a proud member of the Mexico Optimist Club and the Mexico Bulldog Boosters. He found great joy in hunting and fishing, hobbies that brought him closer to nature and allowed him to make countless memories with family and friends.

Terry is survived by his two sons: Jeff (Robyn) Anselmi of Sierra Vista, Arizona, and Jesse (Sarah) Anselmi of Mexico. He also leaves behind three grandchildren: Logan (Laura) Anselmi of Centralia, Misty (Stan) Rodda of Lee’s Summit, and Rachel Anselmi of Phoenix, Arizona, as well as three great-grandchildren: Avary, Grant, Ashton, and one more on the way, Lila.

In addition to his beloved wife, Jenelle, Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Sonny Anselmi.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Audrain Humane Society or the Mexico Animal Shelter, in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson Street, Mexico, MO 65265.

A service to honor Terry will be held at a later date at the Garden of Memory in Pittsburg, Kansas.
