Kansas State will play its Big 12 football opener against Oklahoma State under the lights on Sept. 25 in Stillwater.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the game will be shown on ESPN+.

The Wildcats will look to break a two-game losing streak against Oklahoma State after falling 20-18 to the Cowboys in Manhattan last year and 26-13 in Stillwater in 2019.

K-State wraps up its nonconference schedule this Saturday with a 1 p.m. kick against Nevada at Bill Snyder Family Stadium, also on ESPN+. Both teams are 2-0.

K-State followed a 24-7 victory over Stanford in the season opener with a come-from-behind decision against Southern Illinois last week, while Nevada won at California, 22-17, to start the season and beat Idaho State at home, 49-10, last week.

Anudike-Uzomah newcomer of the week

Kansas State defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah was named Big 12 newcomer of the week Monday, the conference office announced Monday.

Anudike-Uzomah, a 6-foot-3, 252-pounder from Lee's Summit, Missouri, recorded career highs in tackles with five, tackles for loss with three and sacks with three Saturday against Southern Illinois. Two of his sacks also forced fourth-quarter fumbles that were recovered by the Wildcats to preserve their 31-23 victory.
