Area events for Thursday, January 29
Frontenac American Legion Post 43 will host bingo, open to the public, at the Frontenac Senior Citizens Center.
Doors will open at 5 p.m., and play starts at 6:30 p.m. A total of 16 games are played, and the evening usually ends around 8:30 p.m.
Overeaters Anonymous will meet at 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Any interested person may attend.
Sperry-Galligar Audubon will meet at 7:30 p.m. in room 102, Yates Hall, Pittsburg State University.
Speaker will be Larry Dablemont, Bolivar, Mo., who will talk about “Migrating Waterfowl.” He is a book author, area newspaper columnist and radio personality with more than 40 years of experiences with wildlife. He was named 1994 Missouri Conservation Communicator of the Year by the Missouri Conservation Federation.
Refreshments will be served. The program will be open free to the public.
