Bernice R. Unruh, 81, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Asbury Park Healthcare in Newton, Kan. Visitation will be Thursday, July 29, 2010, from 3-9 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton. Services at 2 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, at Salem United Methodist Church in Newton.

Angeline “Angie” Strathe of Frontenac, KS, died on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 of a massive heart attack.

Maxine Schultze, 86, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Pittsburg. She had been a life-long resident of Pittsburg, KS.

Belva Jo “B.J.” Orbison, age 72, of Manhattan, died July 27, 2010, at her residence.

Kelley Jo Farrell, 45, of McCune, KS, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 27, 2010 at her home.

Donna June Dellasega, 84, of Pittsburg, KS, died 7:10 a.m. Tuesday July 27, 2010 at Villa Maria Nursing home in Mulvane, KS following a short illness.

Betty Jean Clark Youvan, 80, of Franklin died at 8:10 p.m. Monday,  July 26, 2010, at her home.

Billy “Bill” Norton was born December 9, 1928 in Englevale, Kansas, to parents Horace and Lula Belle (Zornes) Norton, the youngest of five boys and one girl all of whom are now deceased. Bill passed away at home on July 21, 2010, after a long battle with lung diseases including cancer. His wife and four children were with him, as well as his wonderful friend and pastor Dick Sanders.  He graduated in 1946 from Arcadia Kansas High School. In 1947 he came to Richland to visit his brother, Marvin “Shorty” Norton, and then stayed in Richland for the rest of his life. On October 7, 1947, he went to work for General Electric and later Battelle, partially retiring in 1989, but continued consulting until he finally turned in his badge in January 1998 50 years and 3 months later!

Kelley Jo Farrell, 45, of McCune, KS, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 27, 2010, at her home.

Norine R. White, 87, of Tulsa, OK, died July 23, 2010. She was born in Anchore, IL, on May 23, 1923 and worked as an administrative assistant at Tulsa Vo-Tech. The services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Tulsa. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at McCune Cemetery.
