Concrete repairs to start on U.S. 400 next week

Posted

FREDONIA, Kan. — Starting the week of Feb. 20, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) plans to begin full-depth concrete patching on highway U.S. 400 from the Greenwood-Wilson county line southeast to K-47.

Temporary signals will control one-lane U.S. 400 traffic at the work zone. Expect brief delays. Weather permitting, the road work should be finished by mid-April, KDOT said in a press release.

KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone. Check KDOT’s updated traveler information website, www.Kandrive.org, for more highway condition and construction details.

Those with questions may contact KDOT Superintendent Marcus Leck, 620-577-7313, or Public Affairs Manager Priscilla Petersen, 620-902-6433.
