Jerry Lee Adams, 65, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Coffey County Hospital.
He was born November 24, 1958, at Ft. Scott, KS, the son of Ward and Josephine (Wutke) Adams. He graduated from Jayhawk-Lynn High School in Mound City, KS.
He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for over 35 years until his retirement in 2016. He had worked as a clerk, carrier, and supervisor, and had been employed at Post Offices in Ft. Scott, Riverton, and Pittsburg. He had made his home in Burlington for the past year.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Shirley Adams White, and her husband, Joe; and a brother, Robert "Bob" Adams.
He leaves two sons, Nick Adams and wife Meghan, and their children Olivia and Phoebe, Lenexa, KS, and Josh Adams and wife Cydney, and their children Brayden and Blakely, Shawnee, KS; two brothers, Bill Adams (Donna), Burlington, KS and Ed Adams (Carolyn), Wellsville, KS; a sister-in-law, Arlene Adams, Fulton, KS; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Fulton, KS.
There will be a gathering downstairs after the service. Family will bury his ashes at Fairview Cemetery following.
