Joseph Donald Bitner passed away February 4, 2024. He was born October 5, 1960, to Scotty Joe and Colleen Bitner.
He was raised in Frontenac, and graduated from Frontenac High School and PSU with a degree in Social Work. He worked alongside his brother Mike at the family business, Bitner Motors, and later worked for the State of Kansas in Topeka.
Jody was a loving father to his two children. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and loved animals such as his pet cats.
Jody married Karen Mack on April 24, 1981. They had 2 children, Jacqueline Alicia (Jackie) and Joseph Charles (Joey). They later divorced.
Jody is survived by his two children, Jackie and Joey (Brandi); a brother, Mike (Lori) Bitner; a sister, Kay (Andy) Baden; two step-sisters, Missy Andrews and Billie (Gene) McCloud; and his step-mother, Phyllis Bitner. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jody was preceded in death by his dad, Scotty Bitner; his mom, Colleen Dundee; and nephew, Scotty Michael Bitner.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
