Richard L. Hosman, 79, of Arma, Kansas died at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023 at his home in Arma, Kansas.
Mr. Hosman was born April 10, 1943 at Pittsburg, Kansas the son of Erwin Hosman and Mary Jones Varsolona. Richard was a movie theater manager for General Cinema in Wichita, Kansas. He was raised in Pittsburg and graduated from College High School in Pittsburg in the Class of 1961. He lived in the Pittsburg-Wichita area most of his life. He married Carolyn F. Fouts on Dec. 4, 1964 at Pittsburg, Kansas. She preceded him in death Dec. 25, 2013. Survivors include cousins, Diane Hosman Sailsbury and Charles Hosman both of Pittsburg, and nieces and nephews, Dan Hofer of Arma, Justin Sumpter and Sami Dunlap both of Arma, Julie Hofer of Franklin, Colton Hofer of Arma, and Daniel Blair of Pittsburg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jones Varsolona, sister, Mary Ellen Hofer, and niece, Debi Hofer Cleland.
Mr. Hosman has been cremated according to his wishes. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, Kansas. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to the Pittsburg YMCA.
