Pittsburg native Ralph Taylor is the former owner of Taylor’s Paint and Wallpaper Company. After retiring, he enjoyed working in his garage and visiting with guests, telling stories of his time in the Navy as an Ensign.
What follows are Mr. Taylor’s own words as recorded by Mindy Casella and Cynthia Newcomb in January 1989.
