Donald Glen Morey, 87, passed away on January 13, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at home.
He was born October 14, 1936, to Glen and Clela Malone Morey.
Don attended Frontenac schools and, after graduating, served in the United States Army.
On November 28, 1959, he was united in marriage to Jeanette Wettstein.
Don was a graduate of KSTC (Pitt State) receiving his BS degree in mathematics in 1967. He began his career with American Airlines in Tulsa, after 40 years retiring to the family farm. He was a member of Our Lady of Lords Catholic Church, the choir, a 4th-degree knight, and commander of the American Legion Post 43 Frontenac, KS from 2010 to 2018.
Don was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette; son, Donn Eric Morey of Rose Hill, KS; sister, Marilyn Edwards of Tulsa; Freda Wettstein Peaster of Pittsburg; his loving grandchildren, Joseph, Jordan, and Jacob Morey of Tulsa; and many nieces and nephews that loved him very much and believed that everyone should have an Uncle Don.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Lords Catholic Church on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Rosary will be prayed, and mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Frontenac City Cemetary.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Legion Post 43 Flag Fund Frontenac, KS, or to Our Lady of Lords Memorial Fund.
