Torie Nicole Thomas, age 21, of Pittsburg, passed away in an automobile accident on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022.
She was born April 26, 2001, the daughter of Robert (Nick) Thomas and Cristy Wiles in Joplin, Missouri.
Torie was a graduate of Girard High School, class of 2019. She was a student at Pittsburg State University and was set to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Business Management in May of 2023.
She was the General Manager of Domino's Pizza in Fort Scott. Torie loved her job and was eager to take on the challenge of managing the Joplin location within the next month.
Survivors include her father, Robert (Nick) Thomas of Frontenac; stepmother who raised her, Celeste Way (Noel) of McCurtain, Oklahoma; three brothers, Ryan Thomas (LeeAnna) of Frontenac, Zebadiah Campbell (Shelby Corn) of Wichita, and J.P Free (Torri) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two sisters, Brittney Warren (Logan) of Wister, Oklahoma, and Chassity Free of Stigler, Oklahoma; paternal grandfather, Robert W. Thomas of Pittsburg; maternal grandparents, Sandra Barker (Russell) of Independence, Kansas, and Gary Wiles of Chanute, Kansas; and great-grandmother, Leona Smedley of Thayer, Kansas.
Torie was preceded in death by her biological mother, Cristy Wiles; paternal grandmother and best friend, Judith Thomas; and uncle, Ray Thomas.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at the Flag Church in Pittsburg. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, Kansas.
