Kathleen Mary Ahrens, 63, passed away peacefully at Pittsburg Health and Rehab on Tuesday morning, March 3, 2023.
Kathleen was born October 28, 1959 to Albert "Ernie" Ahrens and Joan (Moore) Ahrens in Santa Monica, CA. In 1978, she graduated from Del Campo High School in Fair Oaks, CA.
Kathleen was a passionate woman who was deeply committed to her faith. She lived in Sacramento, CA for many years, where she served a vital role at the Capitol Christian Church. Here, she led many missions to Mexico, was a member of the Masters Commission, and worked tirelessly to provide support to the underground church in China.
She was someone who appreciated the small moments in life. Her friends and family remember her love for dancing, as she was known to dance in the living room almost daily. Furthermore, she took great pride in her koi pond and spent many hours enjoying its scenic beauty.
Kathleen leaves behind her son, Andrew Price (Arma, KS); two step-children, Aaron Baumfalk (Sacramento, CA) and Brian Baumfalk (Sacramento, CA); one granddaughter, Samantha Tonk (Webb City, MO); four siblings, Melani Ahrens (Sacramento, CA), Terry Ahrens (Sacramento, CA), Anne Sauer (Reno, NV), and Sherry Ahrens (Sacramento, CA).
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert "Ernie" and Joan (Moore) Ahrens.
Kathleen will be cremated with no official services scheduled at this time. The family intends to hold a private celebration of life at a later time. Arrangements are made by Bath-Naylor Funeral Home & Crematory in Pittsburg, KS. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
