It is with deep sorrow and love we mourn the passing of James Timothy Blancho (Tim) on March 31, 2024. He was 69 years old.

Tim was born May 21, 1954, to Robert Louis Blancho and June Marie (Pritchard) Blancho in Pittsburg Kansas. He was the third of six children. Sports played an important role in his adolescence. In later years he enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid cyclist.

Tim was united in marriage to Linda (Divine) Blancho at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg. They were blessed with three children.

Tim graduated from St. Mary’s Colgan High School in 1972 and furthered his education at Pittsburg State University.

Tim tried his hand at several careers, from working as a draftsman for McNally Pittsburg to becoming an insurance agent for Business Men’s Assurance Company of Kansas City Missouri. He soon found his niche working in the construction business as a skilled craftsman and woodworker. He later accepted a position with Pittsburg State University as a Facilities Specialist for 16 years until his retirement in 2020.

 Tim loved his family deeply.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda Blancho, and daughter Bethany Blancho.
